Endometriosis
Menorrhagia
A very heavy menstrual flow lasting for more than seven days with severe cramping.
PCOS
A common hormonal disorder that affects the ovaries in women during their childbearing years. This may also result in an irregular menstrual cycle.
Menopause
Is a natural process of aging. The stage where the ovaries completely stop producing reproductive hormones and there are no monthly periods for a consecutive 12 months.
Fibroids
A non-cancerous tumour in the uterus. The symptoms depend on the size and location of the fibroid(s).
Adenomyosis
Adenomyosis is a condition where the inner lining of the uterus (the endometrium) grows into the muscle wall of the uterus. This results in painful heavy menstrual bleeding.
PMS
PMS (Premenstrual Syndrome): physical and emotional symptoms experienced days before a woman’s period. This results in mood swings, cravings for food and depression.
PMDD
PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder) Refers to a group of emotional and physical symptoms that starts a week or two before your period. It is similar to PMS but symptoms are usually more severe.

Colposcopy
A Colposcopy is a procedure that uses a special microscope to look into the vagina to look at the cervix (opening to the uterus or womb),vaginal and vulval area.
The Colposcope is like a pair of binoculars mounted on a stand connected to a powerful light. It magnifies the tissue and enables the doctor to see abnormalities that cannot be seen with the naked eye. The procedure takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes.
Fertility investigations
Assisting families when they are having trouble conceiving a child or maintaining a pregnancy. Tests are performed by way of blood tests, hormone/period tracking and semen analysis to then find and try and rectify the cause.
Laparoscopic surgery
An examination of the pelvic and abdominal organs using a keyhole surgical approach to determine the cause of pain or dysfunction and then surgically correct it.
Hysterectomy
A hysterectomy is a surgical procedure to remove the uterus, usually performed laparoscopically.
